Dear Countrymen,
I am writing the letter to call on all people to support public transportation in out cities. Now many cities and newspapers are advocating the use of public transportation. As a common citizen ,I think every one should try his best to response to the call.
With environmental deterioration, we attach much importance to the public transportation. Nowadays, better roads and reformed traffic arrangement allow buses to reach most areas of the cities and towns. Public transportation is becoming more and more convenient. And governmental propaganda and some special services are provided nearly everywhere, such as "Chinese Urban Public Transportation Week and Car Free Day Event". However, all the activities largely depend on our common citizens. The popularity of public transportation can only be fulfilled by the government and public.
Why do we call on all people to support public transportation? Every one knows that the use of public transportation is environmentally-friendly, for it can ease the urban congestion, reduce the air pollution and improve the living conditions. Moreover, it can also ease people's economic burden. So the entire society should make a concerted effort to push forward the development of public transportation.
