In many countries, the proportion of older people is steadily increasing, this trend have more positive or negative effects on society.

Over the past fifty years the young have been gaining the status and power lost by the old. What are the causes? Is it a good or bad phenomenon?

In many countries today there is insufficient respect to old people. What are the reasons? What problems it might cause?

4. Who Should Take Care of the Old?

InBritain, when someone gets old, they often go to live in a home with other old people where there are nurses to look after them. Sometimes the government has to pay for this care. Who should be responsible for our old people? Give reasons.
